It's not every day we get the opportunity to work with fabulous local talent in our own backyard.
Kansas City is full of talented wedding professionals! We had the privilege of organizing a styled shoot last summer, and boy was it gorgeous. The gown was a silky dusty blush charmeuse, which hung perfectly on our gorgeous model. She was delighted when she realized that she would be able to float around unencumbered by a frigid fabric. My Heirloom Bridal had designed and made the dress flawlessly with care, and even came on location with a sewing kit, ready to make any adjustments that may be needed. It was obvious that she gives great attention to every facet of her work.
Chressin Orstad of Hair by Chressin was in charge of the hair and make-up. We were not disappointed! When the words you use to describe the look you are trying to achieve include soft, whimsical and wild, one might think it could be difficult to capture all of these elements with only one canvas. Chressin did just that, the wedding community in Kansas City is fortunate to have such a creative professional.
Blue Bouquet of Kansas City made the most beautiful wildflower bouquet we could have asked for. Sprays of greenery mingled with lavender and wild shoots of pink and white made this bouquet truly unique. They also customized a beautiful garland for our special guest model, Melody. They happily and excitedly took on the task of adorning our gorgeous horse with greenery and ribbon. The photos speak louder than we ever could.
Heart of Opal designed the unique invitation suites for this shoot. Her hand stamped paper and attention to the tiniest detail is really what sets her apart. The colors were vibrant, as well as the wording. It was not difficult to fall in love with her work.
All of the beautiful jewelry was designed right here in Kansas City by Bein-Aime. The unique yet timeless jewelry frosted our beautiful model and really completed her look. Our favorite touch was the hint of turquoise teardrops on the rectangle dangle earrings. That tiny hint of color added so much depth to the outdoor shoot.
Sweet Soiree brought in a beautiful wildflower cake. The two-tiered beauty was placed on a round wood plank and was perfect for our shoot. Sprigs of green and dark purple surrounded a bright sunflower with composure. The magic was not only that this cake was the essence of picturesque it was also delicious!
We knew we wanted to work with Parisse Portraits from the beginning. Her work has been consistent and stunning. We knew we wanted our models to look like they were amerced in a fairytale of green, and Christina more than delivered. She was knee deep in the thick meadow along with our models to ensure the perfect shot for the hazy sunset. It is very easy to sing the praises of someone whose work really shines.
A very special thank you to our stunning models. Not only were they beautiful people, but they were able to capture the magic of the setting along with our horses. We were truly awestruck by the grace and poise you both carried.
A heartfelt thank you to each professional involved in this labor of love! Kansas City is just full of wonderful people. Please enjoy our collaborative masterpiece!
